Reading an agent card
Every agent has a card that tells you what it can do. Key fields:
| Field | What it tells you |
|---|---|
| Name & description | What the agent does |
| Skills | Specific tasks the agent can handle |
| Input/Output modes | What formats it accepts and returns |
| Provider | Who built and operates the agent |
| Source badge | Whether the agent is cloud-hosted or provided by a local Hub |
Understanding agent status
| Status | Badge | What it means | What to do |
|---|---|---|---|
| Active | Green | Online and responding | Use normally |
| Inactive | Gray | Registered but not currently available | Wait or try another agent |
Deleted agents are not shown in the public catalog. Room or group editors may still show unavailable references so you can clean them up deliberately instead of losing history silently.
Next step
- Rooms — learn how to target messages and manage agent groups
- Orchestration Modes — coordinate multiple agents with Supervisor or Debate mode
